Vi får in väldigt många frågor om True Blood säsong 5 just nu eftersom att säsong 4 precis tog slut. Säsong 5 beräknas ha premiär någon gång under sommaren 2012 i USA :) Vi kan redan nu få se några promo bilder och läsa lite om vad vi kan förvänta oss av säsong 5 :)

Raelle Tucker och Alan Ball pratar med TV guide om True Blood säsong 4 säsongsavslutning och besvarar även några frågor om vad vi kan vänta oss av säsong 5.

Will Tara (Rutina Wesley) Survive? “I can’t say whether she will be back in her present form, but we’ll continue to tell Tara’s story,” says Tucker.

Are Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) marked men after killing Nan and her guards? “They’ve been fighting witches all season, and now they will have to fight  the power elite of their own kind,” says Ball. Adds Tucker: “For once in their lives they need to rely on and trust each other. They team up to face a common enemy.”

Is Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) really back? Yes confirms Ball–and with “an interesting new alliance,” teases Tucker.

Will Werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) finally win Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) heart? “They have a deep friendship and chemistry that we’ll continue to explore,” Tucker says. “But Sookie will be trying to stand on her own two feet next season.”

Will ghosts from Terry’s (Todd Lowe) past threaten his wife, Arlene (Carrie Preston)? “The ghosts will come back, and he and Arlene are going to be challenged by that,” Tucker confirms. “Terry’s PTSD comes from a particular incident we’ll learn more about. Scott Foley’s Patrick Devins has a huge part to play.”

What kind of vampire will former fang-hater Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) be? “He will do what he believes is the righteous thing that God wants him to do, although it will be altered by his new condition,” Tucker says.

Any exciting new characters coming up? “There are a couple of new roles that will be very sexy,” says Ball. One in particular is “a strong, mysterious female at the center of one of our main stories,” Tucker says. “She’s fierce, one of the strongest women we will have seen on the show, a force to be reckoned with.”

Nu har det bekräftats att det kommer att komma en säsong 5 av True Blood! Underbart! :D Vi har varit lite dåliga på att uppdatera om True Blood på senaste men trots det är det extremt befriande att säsong 5 har bekräftats!

Created by Alan Ball, the series will begin production of new episodes later this year in Los Angeles, with debut set for summer 2012.

Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the Emmy®-nominated show takes place at a time when vampires have come out of the coffin, and follows the on-and-off romance between waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Series creator Alan Ball (creator of the Emmy®-winning HBO series “Six Feet Under”) is also an executive producer of the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.

The 12-episode fourth season of TRUE BLOOD, which launched June 26, has inspired critical raves, with USA Today calling it “exuberantly entertaining,” as well as hailing the “superb crew of writers and actors,” while the Washington Post called the show “a rollicking good scream” and “addictive.”

TRUE BLOOD recently received four Emmy® nominations, including Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Alfre Woodard).

Då var det alltså bestämt! True Blood säsong 3 har premiär den 31 augusti klockan 22:00 på Svt1! :) Så för er som följer serien i svensk takt är det alltså inte långt kvar. Det finns ännu inget datum för när säsong 4 ska sändas i Sverige.

För er som följer i amerikansk takt fortsätter säsong 4 som vanligt.
